All 'bout the Float!

You will start your float at Pinkerton Park off highway 96. Look for our big yellow bus and yellow and orange striped tent. Come by the tent to check in with us. If you choose the 2.5 hour float, We will load you and your tube up in the float bus to take you to the Eastern Flank of the Harpeth to start your float. You’ll float back to us at Pinkerton Park. 

If you choose the longer float, you’ll get out at Harlinsdale Farm. As you get to the end of your float, you will start seeing signs that your float is (sadly) coming to an end. At this point you will be about 3-4 hours down the river at Harlinsdale Farm. We will be there to pick you up IF we are not there,  text us and we will make the short drive over. 

Depending on the float you choose, Your float will be about 2-4 hours, more if you the water levels are lower than usual or if you stop to snack, play, swim or relax. 

If you are one of the last groups to start floating please be back by 5:00p. 

The Harpeth River float is shady, peaceful and not difficult at all. Anyone up for a fun, relaxing afternoon on the water is welcome! We strongly encourage children above the age of 4 years to float. We do supply life jackets as well.

You really only need yourself to float But you can pack a cooler to take along in one of our cooler tubes ($15) and a few necessities, like your phone, extra sunscreen, snacks, water, and maybe some water shoes. 

The river depth depends on the rainfall. We will update our website, Facebook and Instagram if the river is at an unsafe level to float on. 

There will be deep spots and there will be shallow spots. Click on the link to find more info

We welcome large groups!!  Our VW Float bus only transports about 7-8 passengers BUT we will take a driver back to the group's van at Pinkerton then you can head back to Harlinsdale to get the rest of your group. 

• Number one rule is to have fun! BUT while you're having fun remember:
• No glass
• No pets
• You are responsible for the tubes and other gear you rent
• Please be respectful of others enjoying the river
• Keep up with your trash. You can throw it away at the end of your float.
• Must sign a waiver for all tubers before floating with us. 18 and up to sign a waiver and float on your own.

If the day you schedule your float turns out to be a rainy day or the conditions are not good to float in the river, then we will contact you to reschedule or refund your money.  

You'll sign a waiver when you get to our tent at Pinkerton Park.

This Rental Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Franklin Float Company ("Company") and the undersigned customer ("Customer") for the rental of river tubes for a lazy river ride. By signing this Agreement, Customer agrees to the terms and conditions outlined below:

____ Rental Period: The rental period begins on the date and time specified in the agreement and ends upon the return of the rented river tubes to the Franklin Float Company designated drop-off point. All tubes must be off the river by 5:00pm. Late tubes will be fined $25/hr. 

____ Rental Fee: Customer agrees to pay the rental fee as specified by Franklin Float Company. The rental fee includes the use of river tubes, any additional equipment provided by Franklin Float Company, and return shuttle service to vehicle. 

____ Equipment Condition: Customer agrees to inspect the rented river tubes and equipment before use and acknowledges that they are in good condition and suitable for the intended purpose. Customer agrees to return the rented items in the same condition, normal wear and tear excepted. 

____Responsibility for Equipment: Customer accepts full responsibility for the rented river tubes and equipment from the time of pickup until they are returned to Franklin Float Company. Customer agrees to use the rented items safely and responsibly and to follow all instructions provided by Franklin Float Company. Customer agrees to pay for any damage to property including full reimbursement of $65. 

____Assumption of Risk: I understand that river tubing activities involve certain inherent risks, including but not limited to risks associated with moving water activities, changing water conditions, weather conditions, submerged obstacles, and other participants. I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with participation in river tubing activities and transportation to and from.

____Release of Liability: I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Franklin Float Company, its owners, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained by me or any property belonging to me, whether caused by the negligence of Franklin Float Company or otherwise.

____Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Franklin Float Company, its owners, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or related to my participation in river tubing activities.

____Medical Treatment Authorization: I authorize Franklin Float Company and its representatives to administer or seek medical treatment for me in the event of any injury, accident, or illness that may occur during my participation in river tubing activities.

____Insurance: I acknowledge that Franklin Float Companydoes not provide any insurance coverage for participants, and I am responsible for obtaining my own insurance coverage to cover any potential injuries, damages, or losses that may occur during river tubing activities.

____ Safety Regulations: I agree to abide by all safety regulations and instructions provided by Franklin Float Companyand its representatives, including wearing any recommended safety gear and following all rules and guidelines for safe river tubing.

____ No Alcohol or Drugs: I agree not to consume alcohol or drugs before or during participation in river tubing activities, as it may impair my judgment and increase the risk of accidents or injuries.

____ Photographic Release: I grant Franklin Float Company the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs or videos of me taken during river tubing activities for marketing, promotional, or any other lawful purposes.

If any provision of this waiver is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Tennessee without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
